Sunday's weather has been the best so far this show.  With only the exception of brief passing of cloud cover throughout the day, Sunday was just that, a warm and sunny day.  

More than half and maybe as many as two-thirds of the outdoor field vendors are already here and selling their goods.   

Today we visited Old Depot Antiques in Round Top followed by yet more Warrenton field dealers.  In both cases dealers were still arriving by the truckload.  During Sunday we watched acres of new tents being erected before the mid-week arrival of even more dealers.  

Some of my personal favorites are the antiques that arrive from mid-west farms (pictured above).  We've recently purchased a farm less than a mile from Fayetteville and only a dozen miles from Warrenton.  Naturally, we too are shopping and will be making our own purchases this week for the new place and our 100-year-old Czech farmhouse.  

It bears saying again that this is going to be a spectacular year for wildflowers.  There was lots of rain at just the right times this year to ensure that the hills and roadsides will be alive with color.  The wildflowers are a wonderful bonus for taking the time to drive into the Texas countryside.  

Friday started the Antique Weekend preview sales (March 30th, 31st and April 1st), followed by a week of shows and sales that lead up to the April 6 & 7th HUGE Texas Antique Weekend.
